As Cardinal Alterations is growing, yes, I do travel outside of Norfolk! However, if the drive is too long for me to fit into my schedule, then I would advice finding an alterations shop closer to you. Give me a call to see if we can work something out!
Later on, I will be implementing a $100 order minimum to requests outside of Norfolk in order to justify the added travel distance.

Each alteration cost is based on how long it takes me to complete it. That time is then compared to my hourly rate to generate its price. When I was determining my hourly rate, I had to consider not only the time to finish the alteration and overhead costs, but as well as the time and distance I travel for fitting appointments and drop offs.
I prefer to list price ranges instead of fixed numbers because each piece of clothing is different and may pose an unique ease or difficulty, possibly causing less or more time needed for the alteration. I never want to risk underselling or overcharging my services because I greatly value fairness in pricing for my clients and myself.
If you have any further questions on this topic, please don’t hesitate to ask.

If it’s a major emergency, and if I can fit it into my schedule, then yes. Just expect a higher cost. Otherwise, I try to avoid same-day alterations. Before fitting appointments, we discuss when you need the alterations done by and possible rush-fees if you need the clothes altered sooner than my initial estimated date.
Safety & Privacy
I hold safety and privacy to a very high standard for myself and my clients. These are a few points I follow to maintain that standard:
Client information that is shared for communication and appointments (name, number, address) is NEVER shared with anyone outside of myself.
I always remain respectful and professional during communication and appointments, and I ask the same of all my clients.
I hold the right to refuse service and/or leave the premises of the appointment if I begin to feel uncomfortable or unsafe AT ANY TIME.
If you have any concerns about this, please don’t hesitate to message or call me with your questions!
